Make a journal entry with the 5 words I give you and describe what those words mean to you. **
Words from
1. Underwater
Dark. Suffocating. Beautiful. I am terrified of drowning and yet the ocean fascinates me so. I love pictures of the sea from above; the kind where you can see schools of whales deep in the water or all the way to the sea floor in a scenic bay. Scenes of coral and such are very beautiful and among my love of post apocalyptic imagery, pictures of cities under water are heart wrenchingly beautiful to me.
2. Sandwich
Rye. Meat. Sauerkraut. Now I want a god damn Reuben... crap. :\ Mmm... Toasted rye, corned beef and sauerkraut... *drool* Also this makes me think of Team Fortress 2 with the Heavy's SANDVICH. OM NOM NOM NOM!
3. Gold
Shiny. Boring. Money. Ah dwarves and their inimical love for gold and all things mined from the ground. When I think of gold, I think of role playing systems where gold is the primary currency and of the races that love it. I personally prefer silver over gold because I think it's prettier. However, I've also always been fascinated by man kind's overall love of gold because there's really nothing inherently valuable about it at all. Seriously. What drives people so nuts about this over priced metal?
4. Rust
Decay. Empty houses. Urban abandonment. Rust is heavily associated with the idea of people being gone. Images of post apocalyptic worlds are rife with the rusting, hollowed out wrecks of human habitation and it gives that idea of what may have once been there. Rust also carries an edge of fear to it because it gives a feeling of neglect and filth.
5. Fire
Beautiful. Torturous. Warming. Fire is interesting to watch and nice to sit by on a cold Winter's night, but is one of the most destructive natural forces in the world. Just like nearly anything else, it CAN be used for good or it CAN be used for destruction. Fire is also the human spirit though. When passion burns in a person's heart, they can soar to new heights and push themselves further than they ever have before. When a person is truly fired up about something, you can see that flame in their eyes and sometimes you can just know that, by that passion alone, they're gonna go far.
